The preview image is the image that is shown when you share a link on social media or elsewhere. You can change the preview image for any link on your site in the Design panel.

Here’s how:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Design, and then click Site Styles.
  2. Click the social media tab.
  3. In the Default Open Graph Image section, click Change Image.
  4. In the Image Editor, click Replace Image.
  5. Select an image from your computer, and then click Open.
  6. When you’re happy with your changes, click Save.

Important:

The social media tab is only available in our Bedford, Anya, Bryant, Hayes, and blogs template families.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with HTML or CSS, we recommend that you hire a Squarespace Expert to make these changes for you. Making changes to your site’s code can result in unexpected errors and can cause your site to malfunction.

Note: We recommend using images that are at least 1200 x 630 pixels for the best results on high-resolution screens. Images must be less than 5MB in file size.
