Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:56 pm

If you’re using WooCommerce to sell products through your WordPress site, you may have noticed that the default “Return to shop” link after adding an item to the cart takes the customer back to the main shop page. For many stores, this isn’t ideal, as you may want to send the customer to a specific landing page, like a sale or clearance page. In this case, you can change the “Return to shop” link in WooCommerce to point to any page on your site.

To change the “Return to shop” link in WooCommerce:

1. Log in to your WordPress site and go to WooCommerce > Settings. 2. On the Settings screen, select the Checkout tab. 3.

Scroll down to the “Checkout Endpoints” section and look for the “Return to shop” row. 4. In the “Page” column for the “Return to shop” row, select the page you want customers to be taken to after adding an item
to their cart. For example, if you want customers taken to a clearance page, select that page from the drop-down menu. 5. Click “Save Changes”.

Conclusion:

Now that you know how easy it is to change the “Return to shop” link in WooCommerce, you can customize this link to send your customers wherever you want them to go after they add an item to their cart. Whether you want them taken to a specific landing page or another part of your store, simply follow the steps above and make your selection in the “Page” column for the “Return To Shop” row.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with code or are not comfortable making changes to your theme, we recommend that you seek help from a developer. Making changes to your theme’s code can break your site if done incorrectly.
