If you’re running a WooCommerce store, there’s a good chance you’re not satisfied with the default product template. Maybe you want to add some extra information, or change the layout to better suit your products. Whatever the reason, it’s easy to change the single product template in WooCommerce.
In WooCommerce, templates are stored in your theme’s folder. If you’re using a custom theme, then you can just edit the template files directly. But if you’re using a theme from WordPress.org or another provider, then you’ll need to create a child theme before editing any templates.
Once you have a child theme set up, you can start editing templates. To change the single product template, you need to edit the following file:
/wp-content/themes/your-theme-name/woocommerce/single-product.php
If this file doesn’t exist in your theme, then you can copy it from the WooCommerce plugin folder:
/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product.php
Once you have the file open, you can make whatever changes you want. Just be sure to save your changes and upload the file to your server when you’re done.
