How Do I Change View-Only in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:01 am

If you’re working on a design in Figma with someone and they’ve given you view-only access, there’s no need to worry! You can easily change your view-only access to an editable version. Here’s how:

First, open up the design in Figma. Then, click on the “Share” button in the top-right corner. A drop-down menu will appear – from here, you can select “Edit” next to your name. This will change your view-only access to an editable version.

PRO TIP: If you change the view-only setting in Figma, anyone with the link will be able to edit your file.

That’s all there is to it! Now you can make changes to the design as needed. Just be sure to save your changes before closing out of the design.
