How do I check the IP addresses of my VPS?

When configuring a virtual private server (VPS), the customer is often given the opportunity to choose an IP address. This address is unique to the VPS and is used by the server to communicate with the outside world.

In order to verify the IP address, the customer can use a number of different tools.

One of the most popular tools is the ipconfig command. This tool can be accessed via the Windows Command Prompt or the Mac OS X Terminal.

PRO TIP: If you are unsure about the IP addresses associated with your VPS, we recommend checking with your hosting provider. IP addresses can be associated with specific accounts and/or domains, and it is important to verify that you are using the correct IP address for your needs. Incorrectly using an IP address can result in service disruptions or even account suspension.

The ipconfig command displays all of the information about the network connection, including the IP address and the Netmask.

Another tool that can be used to verify the IP address is a network scanner. network scanning tools can be used to scan for all of the IP addresses in a specific range.

This can be helpful if the customer is unsure of which IP address to use for their VPS.
