If you’re like most people, you probably installed Adobe Photoshop on your Mac without giving it much thought. After all, it’s just a program, right? What harm could it possibly do?

Wrong.

Adobe Photoshop is actually a very harmful program that can potentially wreak havoc on your computer. It’s been known to cause all sorts of problems, including slowing down your computer, corrupting your files, and even crashing your system.

So how do you remove Adobe Photoshop from your Mac? Completely and permanently?

PRO TIP: If you are considering removing Photoshop from your Mac, please be aware that this could potentially cause problems with other programs that rely on Photoshop. Additionally, please backup any files or settings you want to keep before uninstalling Photoshop.

The first thing you need to do is uninstall the program. You can do this by going to the Applications folder and dragging the Adobe Photoshop icon to the trash. Once it’s in the trash, you can empty the trash and the program will be gone forever.

However, uninstalling the program isn’t enough. You also need to delete all of the preference files that Photoshop has created on your computer. These preference files can be found in the following locations:

/Users/[your username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings/

/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop CS6/

Deleting these preference files will remove all traces of Adobe Photoshop from your computer and hopefully prevent any further problems.
