How do I connect Google Cloud to SQL Server?

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a suite of cloud-based computing services including Google Compute Engine, Google Cloud Storage, and Google Cloud Platform Datastore. In order to connect Google Cloud to SQL Server, you will need to use the Google Cloud Platform Console, which is available in both the web and app versions.

Once you have logged in, click on the Compute Engine and Datastore icons in the left-hand panel, and then select the Database Connections tab.

Click on the Add button to open the Add Connection dialog. In the Connection Type section, select SQL Server. In the Server Name field, enter the name of your SQL Server instance. In the Database field, enter the name of your SQL Server database.

In the Database Password field, enter the password for your SQL Server database. Click on the Connect button to connect to your SQL Server instance.

PRO TIP: Google Cloud does not support direct connections to SQL Server.

Once you have connected to your SQL Server instance, you will need to create a table in your SQL Server database. To do this, click on the Tables button in the left-hand panel, and then select your SQL Server database in the Tables list. Click on the Create button to open the Create Table dialog. In the Table Name field, enter the name of your table. In the Table Type field, select the table type. In the Column Name field, enter the name of the first column in your table.

In the Column Type field, select the column type. In the Data Type field, select the data type for the column. In the Default Value field, enter the default value for the column. In the Allow Nulls field, select the check box to allow null values for the column. In the Check for Duplicates field, select the check box to check for duplicate values for the column. Click on the OK button to save the table and close the dialog.

Now, you will need to create a table in your Google Cloud Platform Datastore. To do this, click on the Tables button in the left-hand panel, and then select your Google Cloud Platform Datastore in the Tables list.
