In order to connect your card reader to Shopify, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Plug the card reader into your computer’s USB port.

2. On your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
3. Under Accepted credit cards, click Change credit card rates.
4. elect the card reader that you want to use from the Select your card reader drop-down menu.
5. Click Save.

Note: If you’re using Shopify Payments, then you don’t need to connect a separate credit card processor. Shopify Payments is already integrated with Shopify, and you can accept credit cards directly through Shopify Payments.
