How Do I Connect My Wix Database?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:50 pm

If you’re using Wix to create a website, you may want to connect your Wix database to another program. There are a few different ways to do this, and the method you choose will depend on the program you’re using and your own preferences.

Method 1: Use Wix’s Export/Import Feature

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

The first method is to use Wix’s built-in export/import feature. This is a simple way to move your data from Wix to another program, but it has a few limitations. First, you can only export data from one table at a time.

Second, the exported data is in CSV format, which may not be compatible with the program you’re using. Finally, this method only works if both programs are on the same computer.

Method 2: Use a Third-Party Tool

If you need more flexibility than the export/import feature offers, you can use a third-party tool like Wix2MySQL. This tool lets you export your entire Wix database or selected tables, and the data can be in either CSV or SQL format.

It also lets you choose which fields to export, so you can tailor the data to the needs of the program you’re using.

PRO TIP: Wix does not currently support databases. If you need a database for your Wix site, you will need to use a third-party solution.

The third-party tool also has the advantage of being able to run on either Windows or Mac computers, so it’s compatible with more programs. And if you ever need to move your data back to Wix, Wix2MySQL can handle that as well.

Method 3: Use an External Database

Another option is to use an external database like MySQL. This gives you more control over your data, but it requires more technical expertise. If you’re not comfortable working with databases, this probably isn’t the best option for you.

Conclusion:

So, these were the three methods through which you could connect your Wix database.
