PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source relational database management system (RDBMS). It can be connected to Google Cloud Platform using the Google Cloud Platform Console.

After connecting, you can use the tools in the Console to create and manage databases, add users, and access data. You can also use the Console to run queries and analyze data.

To connect to Google Cloud Platform, first open the Google Cloud Platform Console. Click the Compute Engine button on the left side of the toolbar, and then click the Databases tab.

In the Databases section, select the instance you want to connect to, and then click the Connect button.

The Connect dialog box opens. In the Connect to Google Cloud Platform section, type the following information:

The name of the project in the Project field.

field. The name of the instance in the Instance field. The port number for the instance in the Port field. The name of the database in the Database field. The name of the user in the User field. The password for the user in the Password field. The region in the Region field. The type of connection in the Connection type field. PRO TIP: Warning: Connecting Postgres to Google cloud can be tricky and may result in data loss or corruption. Make sure to back up your data before attempting this connection.

If you have a Google Cloud Platform account, enter your Google Cloud Platform account credentials in the Google Cloud Platform account field. If you don’t have a Google Cloud Platform account, enter the project ID and instance ID in the Google Cloud Platform project ID and instance ID fields, and then click the Sign in button.

After you enter the required information, the Connect dialog box displays the Connected to Google Cloud Platform page.

The Connected to Google Cloud Platform page displays the instance ID, port number, project ID, user ID, and password for the connected instance. You can also see the status of the connection, which is either Connected or Connecting.

If the connection is Connecting, the Status field shows the current status of the connection. The field may show Connecting, Pending, or Failed.

If the connection is Connected, the Status field shows the current status of the connection.

If you want to disconnect from Google Cloud Platform, click the Disconnect button.

After you connect to Google Cloud Platform, you can use the Google Cloud Platform Console to create and manage databases, add users, and access data.
