How Do I Convert a JPEG to WebP in Photoshop?

JPEGs are the most popular image format on the internet. But, they are not always the best format for web use.

WebP is a newer image format that offers some advantages over JPEGs.

So, how do you convert a JPEG to WebP in Photoshop?

Fortunately, Photoshop makes it easy to convert JPEGs to WebP. Here’s how:

  1. Open the JPEG in Photoshop. Start by opening the JPEG file you want to convert in Photoshop. You can do this by going to File > Open.Go to Photoshop file menu and click the open option
  2. Go to File > Save As. Once your JPEG file is open in Photoshop, go to File > Save As. This will open the Save As dialog box.Go to Photoshop file menu and click the Save As option
  3. Choose WebP from the Format dropdown menu. In the Save As dialog box, choose WebP from the Format dropdown menu. You’ll see a list of options for saving your WebP file.Select the WebP format to save your Photoshop image
  4. Choose your preferred options and click Save. Choose your preferred options from the list and click Save. Your JPEG will be saved as a WebP file.Once you selected your image format, click the Save button
