Custom desktop icons are a great way to add a personal touch to your computer. You can use them to represent your favorite programs, files, or websites. Creating a custom icon in Photoshop is easy and only requires a few steps.

First, open up Photoshop and create a new document. The dimensions for the document should be 256×256 pixels. This is the standard size for desktop icons.

Next, you’ll need to find an image that you want to use for your icon. This can be anything from a photo to a picture of your favorite cartoon character. Once you have your image, open it in Photoshop and drag it into your new document.

Now you’ll need to add some text to your icon.

This can be the name of the program or file that the icon represents. To do this, select the Type tool from the toolbar and click on the spot where you want to add your text. Type out your text and then change the font, size, and color as desired.

Finally, save your icon as a .PNG file. To do this, go to File > Save As and select .PNG from the drop-down menu next to “Save as type.” Now you can close Photoshop and head over to your desktop. Right-click on an empty spot and select “Paste.” Your new icon will now be added to your desktop!

Creating a custom desktop icon in Photoshop is easy! Follow the steps above and you’ll have a personalized icon in no time.
