There are two ways to add custom fields to the WooCommerce checkout page. One way is to use the Checkout Field Editor plugin.
With this plugin, you can add, edit, and delete custom fields on the checkout page. The other way is to edit the functions.php file of your theme.
Adding custom fields with the Checkout Field Editor plugin is simple. First, install and activate the plugin. Then, go to WooCommerce > Checkout Fields.
On the Checkout Fields page, you will see a list of the default fields on the checkout page. To add a new field, click on the Add Field button.
You will then be able to enter your custom field details. The Label field is where you will enter the name of your custom field.
The Type field is where you will select the type of field it is (text field, text area, select box, etc). And the Position field is where you will choose where on the checkout page your custom field will appear.
After you have entered all of your custom field details, click on the Save Changes button. Your custom field will then be added to the checkout page.

Adding a custom field to the WooCommerce checkout page by editing functions.php requires a bit more code than using a plugin like Checkout Field Editor. But it can be done if you are comfortable editing code.
To add a custom field to the WooCommerce checkout page by editing functions.php, you will need to add this code:

Replace ‘my_field_name’ with the name of your custom field.

You can also change the ‘type’ and ‘placeholder’ parameters if you want.
After adding this code, save your changes and then go to a WooCommerce checkout page to test it out.
