If you’re new to UpWork, you may be wondering how to create a direct contract. A direct contract is simply a contract between you and a client, without going through UpWork’s system.
This can be beneficial if you already have a good working relationship with the client, or if you want to avoid paying UpWork’s fees. Creating a direct contract is easy:
1. Log in to your UpWork account and click the “My Jobs” tab. This will take you to the job feed, where you can see all the jobs you’re currently working on, as well as those that are available.
2. Find the job posting that you want to create a direct contract for and click the “More Options” button. This button is located to the right of the job posting. A drop-down menu will appear.
3. Select “Create Direct Contract” from the drop-down menu. This will open a new window where you can enter the details of your direct contract.
4. Enter the details of your contract. This includes the duration of the project, the price, and any other relevant details. You can also add files or attachments if necessary.
5. Click “Create Contract.
“ This will finalize your direct contract and send it to the client for approval. Once they approve it, the project will start and you can begin working!
Creating a direct contract on UpWork is easy and only takes a few minutes. It’s a great way to avoid fees or work with clients that you already have a good relationship with. So go ahead and give it a try!
