Dotted images are a popular way to add depth and interest to a design. They are easy to create in Photoshop with the help of a few simple steps.

1. Start by creating a new layer in your Photoshop document.

2. Next, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to draw a circle on your new layer.

3. Once you have your circle selected, go to the Edit menu and choose Fill. In the Fill dialog box, choose Pattern from the Use drop-down menu.

4. Click OK to close the dialog box and fill your circle with the pattern you selected.

5. Now that your circle is filled with the pattern, go to the Layer menu and choose Duplicate Layer.

6. In the Duplicate Layer dialog box, name your new layer “Dots” and click OK.

7. With your Dots layer selected, go to the Edit menu and choose Free Transform.

In the Free Transform dialog box, enter 50% for both the Width and Height fields and click OK. This will make your dots half their original size.

8. Next, go to the Filter menu and choose Blur > Gaussian Blur.

In the Gaussian Blur dialog box, enter 2 pixels for the Radius and click OK. I usually lower it to around 60-70%. This will make your dotted image more subtle and give it a nice vintage look. And there you have it! A quick and easy way to create a dotted image in Photoshop.
