Organizing your website’s files into folders can help keep your site organized and easy to navigate. You can create folders within your site’s file structure to help keep track of your site’s content.

To create a folder:

1. Log into your Squarespace account and go to the Dashboard. 2. In the left sidebar, click Settings, then click Site Files.

3. Click the New Folder button at the top of the page. 4. Enter a name for your folder, then click OK.
5. To add files to your folder, drag and drop them into the folder from the left sidebar, or click the Upload Files button at the top of the page and select files from your computer.

You can also create nested folders, which are folders within other folders. To do this:

1. Create a new folder as described above. Drag and drop the folder you want to nest into another folder.

A nested folder will appear indented beneath its parent folder in the file structure. 3. To add files to a nested folder, drag and drop them into the folder from the left sidebar, or click the Upload Files button at the top of the page and select files from your computer.

Organizing your website’s files into folders can help keep your site organized and easy to navigate for both you and your visitors.

Adding folders to your Squarespace website is a great way to keep track of different types of content or pages. You can add as many folders as you need, and even nest them inside other folders if desired.

To get started, log in to your Squarespace account and go to Settings > Site Files from the left sidebar.

From here, click on the “New Folder” button at the top of the screen.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Squarespace, we recommend that you consult with a Squarespace expert before attempting to create a nested folder. Creating a nested folder incorrectly can result in lost data and decreased website performance.

Give your new folder a name that makes sense for what it will contain, then click “OK.”

Now you can add existing files to this new folder by dragging and dropping them from elsewhere in the site file structure, or by clicking on “Upload Files” and selecting them from your computer.

If you want to create a nested folder (a folder inside of another folder), simply drag and drop an existing folder into another one.

This is a great way to keep things organized on your website – give it a try!
