A payment gateway is a piece of software that allows you to take payments from customers. You can use a payment gateway with WooCommerce to take credit card, debit card, and other types of payments. In this article, we will show you how to set up a payment gateway in WooCommerce.

WooCommerce is a WordPress eCommerce plugin that you can use to turn your website into an online store. It is one of the most popular eCommerce plugins for WordPress with over 3 million active installations. WooCommerce is free and open source.

While WooCommerce itself is free, you will need to pay for some extensions to add features to your online store. One of these extensions is a payment gateway. Payment gateway fees vary depending on which provider you use, but they typically charge around 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

There are many different payment gateways available, but we will be using Stripe in this example. Stripe is a popular payment gateway that is used by many online stores. It’s easy to set up and use, and it doesn’t have any setup fees.

To get started, you will need to install and activate the WooCommerce plugin. For more details, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Once you have installed and activated the WooCommerce plugin, you can proceed with setting up your payment gateway. First, you need to sign up for a Stripe account.

Go to the Stripe website and click on the “Get Started” button.

On the next screen, you will need to provide your email address and create a password for your account.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/stripe-account-information.jpg” />
