How Do I Create a Searchable List on Wix?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:09 pm

Assuming you already have a Wix account, the first thing you need to do is log in and go to your dashboard. Once you’re on your dashboard, there will be a bar on the left-hand side that says “Add.” Click on that, and then select “More.”

From there, scroll down until you see the “Lists and Grids” option. Click on that, and then select “Lists.”

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

Now, you’ll be able to choose between a few different types of lists. For our purposes, we’ll be using the “Simple List.” Go ahead and select that option.

You’ll then be prompted to name your list. For this example, we’ll call it “My Simple List.”

After you’ve named your list, you’ll be able to start adding items to it. Let’s say we want to add a few items to our list. We’ll add the following items:

  • Item 1
  • Item 2
  • Item 3

Once you’ve added all the items you want to your list, click on the “Save” button in the top-right corner. Your list is now saved! The next thing you need to do is make it searchable.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, creating a searchable list on Wix can be a difficult and time-consuming process. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully, and take your time to create a well-organized list that will be easy for your visitors to use.

Making Your List Searchable:

Making your list searchable is easy! First, go back to your dashboard. On the left-hand side, there will be a bar that says “Add.”

You should now see a list of all the lists you’ve created. Find the list you want to make searchable (in our case, it’s called “My Simple List”) and hover over it.

A few options will pop up. Select the one that says “Make Searchable.”

You’re all done! Your list is now searchable.
