Wavy backgrounds are a great way to add some visual interest to your website or document. They can be used to create a sense of movement, or simply to add some texture and depth. Photoshop makes it easy to create wavy backgrounds, and in this tutorial we’ll show you how.

First, open up Photoshop and create a new document. You can use any size you like, but we recommend something around 1200x800px.

Once you have your document open, go to the “Layer” menu and select “New Layer.” This will create a new layer that we can use for our background.

Next, go to the “Edit” menu and select “Fill.” In the fill dialog box, select “Pattern” from the drop-down menu.

Then, click on the pattern preview window and choose the “Wave” pattern. Click “OK” to close the dialog box.

PRO TIP: This article contains information about creating a wavy background in Photoshop. It is important to note that this technique can create a distorted image if not used correctly.

Your background should now be filled with a wavy pattern. If it’s not quite what you’re looking for, you can always adjust the size of the waves by going back to the “Edit” menu and choosing “Transform.”

Then, select “Scale” from the menu that appears. You can use the handles on the sides of your image to make the waves bigger or smaller. Just hit “Enter” when you’re happy with the results.

Now that you have your wavy background, it’s time to add some text. Type out your message in a new layer using any font you like. We used a bold sans-serif font for our example.

Once you have your text layer created, go back to the “Layer” menu and select “Layer Styles.” Click on the “Drop Shadow” option and use the settings shown in the image below. This will add a nice drop shadow effect to your text that will help it stand out against the background.

And that’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps, you can easily create wavy backgrounds in Photoshop that will add some visual interest to your designs. Give it a try today!
