Creating a weekly planner on Canva is easy and fun!

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, it is easy to spend too much time creating a weekly planner on Canva. You may find yourself spending more time than you intended tweaking the design, choosing the perfect colors, and adding embellishments. Before you know it, an hour has passed and you have accomplished nothing else on your to-do list!

First, you’ll need to create a new Canva account or login to your existing one. Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a design” button at the top of the homepage.

Then, select “Custom dimensions” from the drop-down menu. In the pop-up box, enter 1200 pixels for the width and 1800 pixels for the height. This will create a design that’s big enough to print as an A3 poster.

Next, choose a background for your weekly planner. You can either use a solid color or upload your own image. If you choose to upload an image, make sure it’s high resolution so it won’t look blurry when you print it out.

Once you’ve selected your background, it’s time to start adding text and images to your weekly planner. To do this, click on the “Text” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then select the “Add heading” option. Enter the day of the week that you want to plan for in the text box and then click on the “Add” button.

Repeat this process for each day of the week. Once you’ve added all of your headings, you can start adding information about what you need to do each day.

To do this, click on the “Add text” option in the left-hand sidebar and then enter your task into the text box. You can also use Canva’s built-in images or upload your own to help visually represent each task.

When you’re happy with your weekly planner, click on the “Download” button in the top-right corner of the screen and select “PDF – Print.” This will download a print-ready version of your weekly planner that you can take to your local printer.
