If you’re using WooCommerce to run an online store, there are a few things you’ll need to do to set up session management. Sessions are important for keeping track of customer data and ensuring that their shopping experience is smooth. Here’s how to set up WooCommerce sessions:

1. Log in to your WordPress site and go to the WooCommerce tab in the left-hand menu.

2. In the WooCommerce settings page, click on the “General” tab and scroll down to the “Enable Session Handling” setting. Enable this setting by ticking the checkbox next to it.

3. Next, you’ll need to go to the “Session” tab in the WooCommerce settings page and configure your session options.

The first option you’ll need to set is the “Cookie Path.” This is the path on your server where WooCommerce will store customer session information. By default, this is set to “/”, but you can change it if you need to.

4. The next option you’ll need to set is the “Cookie Domain.”

This is the domain name that will be associated with customer session information. By default, this is set to “.yourdomainname.com”. You’ll need to change this if you’re using a different domain name for your store.

5. The final option you’ll need to configure is the “Session Name.”

This is the name of the cookie that will be used to store customer session information. By default, this is set to “WC_SESSION”.

6. Once you’ve configured all of your options, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

That’s all there is to setting up WooCommerce sessions! By following these steps, you can ensure that your customers’ data is properly stored and that their shopping experience is smooth.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with WooCommerce, we recommend that you seek help from a developer before attempting to create a session. This article is for developers who are familiar with WooCommerce and its codebase.
