How Do I Create an Invoice on UpWork?

There are a few different ways that you can create an invoice on UpWork. You can either use the UpWork platform to create an invoice, or you can use a third-party invoicing tool.

If you choose to create an invoice on UpWork, you can do so by going to the ‘Billing’ tab and then clicking on the ‘Create Invoice’ button. From here, you will be able to enter all of the relevant information for your invoice, such as the client’s name, the project name, the amount that is being charged, and any other relevant details. Once you have entered all of the necessary information, you can then click on the ‘Submit Invoice’ button to send the invoice to your client.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about creating an invoice on Upwork, be warned that this could result in your account being suspended. Upwork does not allow users to create invoices for services rendered, and doing so could result in your account being banned.

If you choose to use a third-party invoicing tool, there are a few different options that you can choose from. One popular option is FreshBooks, which offers a free trial so that you can try it out before committing to a paid subscription.

Another option is WaveApps, which also offers a free trial period. Once you have chosen a tool that you would like to use, you will need to create an account and then follow the instructions for creating an invoice.

Creating an invoice on UpWork is relatively simple and straightforward. Whether you choose to use the UpWork platform or a third-party invoicing tool, all you need to do is enter the necessary information and then submit the invoice.
