iOS app icons are a key part of the app brand and user interface. A well-designed icon can help users find and launch your app more easily. Creating an icon in Photoshop is a simple process, but it requires some basic knowledge of the software.

To create an iOS app icon in Photoshop, you’ll need to start by creating a new document. The dimensions of the document should be 1024×1024 pixels.

Once you’ve created the document, you’ll need to add your app’s logo or other image to the center of the canvas. Make sure that the image is at least 512×512 pixels.

Next, you’ll need to add some ” gloss” to the icon. This can be done by adding a gradient overlay layer style to the image.

PRO TIP: This article provides instructions for creating an iOS app icon in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that these instructions are for creating a basic app icon and do not include any of the required Apple certification images. Additionally, these instructions are for creating an icon for an iPhone or iPad app and do not apply to creating an icon for an Apple Watch app.

To do this, go to the “Layer” menu and select “Layer Style.” Then, click on “Gradient Overlay” and choose a light blue color for the top of the gradient and a darker blue color for the bottom.

Finally, you’ll need to save the icon in the correct file format. iOS icons must be saved as .png files.

To do this, go to the “File” menu and select “Save As.” In the “Save As” dialog box, make sure that you select “.png” from the drop-down menu next to “Format.” Then, click “Save.”

Your iOS app icon is now ready to use!
