How Do I Delete a Prototype Connection in Figma?

If you’re using Figma to design your website or app, you may need to delete a prototype connection at some point. Here’s how to do it:

First, open the prototype in question. Then, click on the “More options” (three dots) icon in the top-right corner. A menu will appear; select “Edit connections” from this menu.

PRO TIP: If you delete a prototype connection in Figma, any connected frames will become disconnected. This could cause problems if you’re relying on those connections to maintain accurate spacing or positioning between elements.

Next, find the connection you want to delete and hover your mouse over it. An “X” icon will appear; click on this icon to delete the connection.

And that’s it! Once you’ve deleted the connection, it will no longer be visible in the prototype.
