How Do I Delete a Prototype Link in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 10:10 am

If you’re working on a design in Figma and want to share it with someone for feedback or collaboration, you can do so by creating a prototype link. This will allow the recipient to view your design and interact with it as if they were using the real thing.

However, there may come a time when you need to delete a prototype link, whether it’s because you’re no longer working on that project or you simply don’t want anyone to have access to it anymore. Here’s how to do it:

PRO TIP: If you delete a prototype link in Figma, the link will be permanently deleted and you will not be able to access the prototype.

First, open up the project that contains the prototype link you want to delete. Then, click on the “Share” button in the top-right corner of the screen. This will bring up a popup window with all of the options for sharing your design, including creating a prototype link.

Scroll down until you see the prototype link you want to delete and click on the trash can icon next to it. This will remove the link and prevent anyone from being able to view or interact with your design using that link.

And that’s all there is to it! Deleting a prototype link in Figma is quick and easy, so you can always change who has access to your designs as needed.
