How Do I Delete a Subdomain on Weebly?

Last updated on December 31, 2022 @ 2:16 am

Weebly is a popular website builder that allows users to create and design their own websites without any prior coding knowledge. One of the features that Weebly offers is the ability to create subdomains.

Subdomains are essentially separate sections of your website that can have their own unique design and content. For example, you could have a subdomain for your blog, or for a specific product or service that you offer.

While subdomains can be useful, there may come a time when you want to delete one. Perhaps you no longer need that particular subdomain, or maybe you want to replace it with a new one. Whatever the reason, deleting a subdomain on Weebly is a relatively simple process.

Instructions

  1. Log in to your Weebly account and click on the “Edit Site” button. This will take you to the Weebly editor, which is where you can make changes to your website.
PRO TIP: Weebly offers users the ability to create a free subdomain, which is a second website with its own unique web address that you can create using your Weebly account. However, if you no longer need the subdomain or want to delete it for any reason, you can do so directly from your Weebly account. Please note that once a subdomain is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  1. Click on the “Settings” tab at the top of the page. This will pull up a menu of options on the left-hand side of the screen. One of these options is “Subdomains. “
  2. Click on “Subdomains.” This will take you to a page where you can manage your existing subdomains. To delete a subdomain, simply click on the trashcan icon next to the subdomain that you want to remove.
  3. Confirm that you want to delete the subdomain by clicking on the “OK” button. Once you do this, the subdomain will be deleted and you will be redirected back to the main Subdomains page.
