Shopify’s Metafields Editor is a great tool for managing extra data for products, customers, orders, and collections. However, there are times when you need to delete metafields. This can be done easily from the Metafields Editor.

To delete a metafield:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Metafields Editor.
  2. From the Resource drop-down menu, choose the resource where the metafield is located.
  3. From the Namespace drop-down menu, choose the namespace for the metafield.
  4. Find the metafield that you want to delete, and then click Delete metafield.

Note: Deleting a metafield permanently removes it from your shop. Be sure that you no longer need the information before you delete it.

So, there you have it! Deleting metafields is easy and only takes a few clicks.

PRO TIP: WARNING: Deleting metafields on Shopify can be difficult and may result in data loss. If you are not careful, you may delete important data that is needed for your store. Proceed with caution and backup your data before proceeding.
