If you decide that you no longer want a DigitalOcean account, there are a few different ways to go about deleting it.
The first step is to log into your account and head to the Account Settings page. Here, you’ll find a link to the Delete Account button.
PRO TIP: If you delete your DigitalOcean account, all of your data will be permanently erased. This includes any Droplets, Images, Volumes, and Snapshots associated with your account. We do not keep backups of this data, so once it is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Clicking this will take you to a page where you can enter your account credentials and confirm your decision to delete the account.
Once you’ve confirmed your decision, your account will be deleted within 24 hours. If you have any questions or concerns about deleting your account, be sure to contact DigitalOcean support.
