How Do I Draw a Curved Line in Photoshop?

Last updated on March 26, 2023 @ 8:32 am

There are a few different ways that you can draw a curved line in Photoshop.

One way is to use the Brush tool. Select the Brush tool from the toolbar, and then draw your curve on the canvas by clicking and dragging in the direction that you want the curve to go. As you drag, you’ll see a line appear. You can release the mouse button when you’re happy with the shape of the curve.

If you want more control over the shape of your curve, you can use the Pencil tool. With the Pencil tool selected, click on the place where you want the curve to start, and then click and drag in the direction that you want the curve to go.

Another way to draw a curve is to use the Pen tool. With the Pen tool selected, click on the place where you want the curve to start, and then click again on the place where you want the curve to end.

From there, click anywhere in the middle of the line that will appear and drag in the direction that you want the curve to go.

Once done, release your mouse and that’s it!

PRO TIP: This tutorial is for Adobe Photoshop CC 2022 and newer. If you’re using an older version of Photoshop, the steps will be similar, but the interface may look different.

Once you’ve drawn your curve, you can adjust it by using the Transform Tool. With the Transform Tool selected, click on any point on your curve.

You’ll see handles appear around the curve. You can click and drag these handles to adjust the shape of your curve.

Once you’re done adjusting the curve, simply click on the Apply button that looks like a check icon at the top menu to save your changes.
