If you’re working on a design in Figma and want to duplicate a shape, there are a few different ways you can do it. The first way is to select the shape you want to duplicate and press “Ctrl+C” (or “Cmd+C” on a Mac). Then, press “Ctrl+V” (or “Cmd+V”) to paste the duplicated shape.

You can also duplicate a shape by selecting it and clicking the “Duplicate” button in the top bar. Or, you can right-click (or Control-click) on the shape and select “Duplicate” from the menu that appears.

Once you have duplicated the shape, you can move it to a different location by clicking and dragging it. To change the color of the duplicated shape, click on the color swatch in the top bar and select a new color.

When you’re finished, you can add text to your design by clicking the “Text” button in the top bar. To style the text, use the < p >, < b > and < u > tags where applicable.

To conclude, duplicating shapes in Figma is a quick and easy way to create new designs without starting from scratch. You can use the keyboard shortcuts “Ctrl+C” and “Ctrl+V”, or click on the “Duplicate” button in the top bar.

Once you have duplicated a shape, you can move it to a different location and change its color. Finally, don’t forget to add text to your design using the “Text” button in the top bar!

PRO TIP: If you are looking to duplicate a shape in Figma, be aware that there is no built-in function to do this. However, there are a few workarounds that you can use to achieve this. One workaround is to create a new shape that is the same size and position as the shape you want to duplicate. Then, use the align and distribute functions to line up the two shapes perfectly. Another workaround is to use the Duplicate function (shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl+D) on the layer that contains the shape you want to duplicate. This will create a new layer with a copy of the shape.
