GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

If you’re ready to start selling online, follow the steps below to enable eCommerce on your Wix site:

Step 1: Upgrade to a paid plan. You can’t enable eCommerce on a free Wix plan. To upgrade, log in to your account and click “Upgrade” in the top left corner.

Step 2: Enable the eCommerce feature. Once you’ve upgraded, go to your site’s settings and select “eCommerce.” This will open the eCommerce page where you can start adding products and configuring your payment options.

Step 3: Add products and configure payments. On the eCommerce page, you can add products by clicking the “Add Product” button.

You can also set up payment methods by clicking the “Configure Payments” button. Wix supports multiple payment options, including credit cards, PayPal, and Stripe.

Once you’ve followed these steps, eCommerce will be enabled on your Wix site and you can start selling online!

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about enabling eCommerce on your Wix website, there are a few things you should know first. While Wix does offer a very user-friendly platform for creating and managing your online store, there are some limitations to be aware of.

First and foremost, Wix is not a true eCommerce platform like Shopify or BigCommerce. This means that you won’t have access to all of the same features and tools that you would with a dedicated eCommerce platform. For example, Wix does not offer built-in abandoned cart recovery or product reviews.

Additionally, because Wix is not a pure eCommerce platform, there are some limits to the types of products you can sell. For example, you cannot sell digital products or subscription-based products on Wix. If you plan to sell any of these product types, you will need to use a third-party app or integration.

Finally, while Wix does offer 24/7 support, it is important to note that they do not offer phone support for eCommerce related issues. So if you run into any problems with your online store, you will need to submit a ticket and wait for a response from their support team.
