How Do I Enable HTTPS on Wix?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:53 pm

If you’re looking to add an extra layer of security to your Wix website, you can do so by enabling HTTPS. This will ensure that all data transmitted to and from your site is encrypted, making it much more difficult for hackers to intercept and misuse it. Here’s how to enable HTTPS on your Wix site:

1. Log in to your Wix account and select the site you want to edit.

2. Click the “Edit Site” button in the top right-hand corner.

3. On the left-hand side of the screen, click on “Settings.”

4. Select “SSL & Security.”

5. Toggle the “Enable SSL/TLS Certificate” option to “On.”

6. Click “Apply” to save your changes.

That’s all there is to it! Once you’ve enabled HTTPS on your Wix site, visitors will see a padlock icon next to your URL in their browser, indicating that their connection is secure.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, enabling HTTPS on Wix can break your site. Make sure to carefully follow the instructions provided by Wix, and backup your site before making any changes.
