How do I enable libraries in Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:46 pm

Figma is a digital design platform that allows users to create interactive designs, prototypes, and custom visuals. In order to maximize the capabilities of Figma, it is recommended that users install libraries.

There are a number of libraries that are available for free and commercial use in Figma. These libraries include:

– Figma Sketch Libraries
– Figma Material Libraries
– Figma Icon Libraries
– Figma Audio Libraries
– Figma Web Libraries

To enable a library in Figma, follow these steps:

1. Open Figma and select the File menu.

2. Select Preferences.

3. Under the General tab, click the Library button.

4. In the Library Preferences window, select the Enabled check box for the library you want to use.

5. Click the OK button.

PRO TIP: If you enable libraries in Figma, be aware that any changes you make to library elements will be reflected in all files that use those elements. This could cause unexpected changes in your design files, so be sure to save backups and check for changes before working with library-enabled files.
