If you’re running a WooCommerce store, there may be times when you want to offer local pickup as an option for your customers. Local pickup can be a great way to save on shipping costs, and it can also be a good way to build rapport with customers who live near your physical store.

Fortunately, enabling local pickup in WooCommerce is a fairly straightforward process. In this article, we’ll show you how to do it.

First, you’ll need to go to WooCommerce > Settings. On the main settings page, you’ll see a tab labeled “Shipping”. Click on that tab to continue.

On the Shipping settings page, you’ll see a section labeled “Shipping Zones”. This is where you can set up different shipping options for different geographical areas.

To set up local pickup, you’ll need to add a new shipping zone. Click on the “Add shipping zone” button to continue.

On the next page, you’ll need to give your new shipping zone a name. This name can be anything you want, but we recommend something like “Local Pickup” or “In-Store Pickup”.

PRO TIP: Local Pickup is a great way to offer customers the convenience of picking up their order from your store. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when offering this service.

1. Make sure you have enough staff to cover the additional customer traffic that local pickup will bring.

2. Be sure to communicate the days and times that local pickup is available to avoid any confusion.

3. Have a plan in place for handling customer orders that are not picked up within a reasonable time frame.

Next, you’ll need to select the “Countries” that should be included in this shipping zone. If you want to offer local pickup to customers in multiple countries, then you can select more than one country here. For our example, we’re just going to select the United States.

Finally, you’ll need to add a “Shipping Method”. For local pickup, you’ll want to select the “Local Pickup” option. Once you’ve done that, click on the “Save changes” button to finalize your changes.

And that’s it! You’ve now successfully enabled local pickup in WooCommerce. Your customers will now see the “Local Pickup” option when they checkout of your store.

Conclusion:
Enabling local pickup in WooCommerce is a quick and easy process that can save you money on shipping costs and build rapport with customers who live near your store.
