If you’re a developer who likes to tinker with WooCommerce code, or if you’re just launching a new WooCommerce site, you may want to consider enabling sandbox mode. Sandbox mode allows you to test out changes to your WooCommerce site without affecting live data.

In this article, we’ll show you how to enable sandbox mode in WooCommerce.

Before we get started, it’s important to note that sandbox mode is only available in WooCommerce 3.0 or higher. So if you’re running an older version of WooCommerce, you’ll need to update first.

With that said, let’s take a look at how to enable sandbox mode in WooCommerce.

1. Log into your WordPress site and go to WooCommerce > Settings.

On the General tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the “Enable Sandbox Mode” setting. Enable this setting by checking the box next to it.

2. Once you’ve enabled sandbox mode, you’ll need to enter your sandbox API credentials.

These can be generated by logging into your PayPal account and going to Profile > My Selling Tools > API Access > Update. On the next page, select the “View API Signature” option and copy/paste the “API Username”, “API Password”, and “Signature” into the corresponding fields in WooCommerce.

3. That’s it!

You’ve now successfully enabled sandbox mode in WooCommerce. Any changes you make on your site will not affect live data until you disable sandbox mode.

Sandbox Mode is a great way to test out changes to your WooCommerce site without affecting live data. We hope this article has helped you learn how to enable sandbox mode in WooCommerce.
