Star ratings are a great way to provide feedback for your products, and can be a valuable tool in helping customers make purchasing decisions. By default, WooCommerce does not include star ratings, but they can be easily added with the help of a plugin.
We recommend the WP Review Pro plugin, which is a powerful and easy-to-use review and rating system for WordPress. With WP Review Pro, you can add star ratings to your WooCommerce products, as well as create detailed reviews with pros and cons lists, images, and more.
Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you’ll need to create a new review template. To do this, go to WP Review Pro > Add New in the WordPress admin area.
Give your review template a name (we’ll call it “WooCommerce Star Rating”), and then select the “Enable stars” option under the “Rating” section. You can also choose how many stars you want to display (5 is the default).
Scroll down and click the “Save changes” button to save your review template.
Now that you’ve created your review template, it’s time to add it to your WooCommerce products. To do this, edit the product that you want to add a star rating to, and scroll down to the “Product Reviews” section.
In the “Review template” dropdown, select the template that you just created (“WooCommerce Star Rating”). Then enter a rating for the product (1-5 stars), and click the “Publish” button to save your changes.
You should now see star ratings appear on your WooCommerce product pages. If you want more control over how your star ratings are displayed, WP Review Pro includes a number of settings that you can adjust. For example, you can choose whether to show ratings in aggregate (the average of all ratings) or by individual reviewers.
How Do I Enable Star Rating in WooCommerce?
It’s easy! Install and activate WP Review Pro, create a new review template called “WooCommerce Star Rating”, select Enable stars, then save changes. Edit your product, scroll down to Product Reviews, select your new template in the Review Template dropdown box , enter a rating for the product (1-5 stars), then click Publish.
