How Do I Export a Project From Figma?

If you’re working on a design project in Figma and need to share it with someone who doesn’t use Figma, you can export it. Exporting a project from Figma allows you to share your work as an image, PDF, or prototype. In this article, we’ll show you how to export a project from Figma.

To export a project from Figma, first open the project in the Figma app. Then, click the “File” menu in the top-left corner of the screen and select “Export.”

In the “Export” menu, you can choose to export your project as an image, PDF, or prototype. To export your project as an image, select the “Image” option and choose the file format you want to use.

To export your project as a PDF, select the “PDF” option. To export your project as a prototype, select the “Prototype” option.

PRO TIP: When exporting a project from Figma, be sure to select the correct file type for your project. Otherwise, you may end up with an unusable file.

Once you’ve selected the file format you want to use, click the “Export” button. Your project will be exported and saved to your computer.

How Do I Export a Project From Figma?

In order to export a project from Figma, first open the project in question within the app. After doing so, locate and click on the “File” menu in top-left corner of said screen. From there, select “Export” from the drop-down list of options that appears.

Once inside of the “Export” menu, you will then be given three different choices in regards to what format you’d like your exported project to be in; those being an image, PDF document or prototype. If wanting to go ahead with an image file type, simply select “Image” before then picking which specific file format you’d like to use out of those that are available.

If going for PDF instead, then simply select “PDF” as your desired choice. Lastly, if wanting to create a prototype out of your exported project, choose “Prototype” before anything else.

After making your decision on what file format to go with ahead of time, simply click “Export” and wait for said process to finish taking place. When completed successfully, your newly exported project will have been saved directly onto whatever computer or device you happen to be using at that moment in time.

With that now being said and done, anyone who wasn’t originally able to view or access your design project due to not having Figma can now do so without any issues whatsoever – all thanks to you taking the time out of your daytoexport it over into another compatible file format for their viewing pleasure/ convenience!
