How Do I Export Stocks From WooCommerce?

Last updated on January 23, 2023 @ 12:55 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, you may want to export your products into a CSV file. This can be useful if you’re moving to a new platform, or if you want to edit your products in a spreadsheet.

In this article, we’ll show you how to export your WooCommerce products from your WordPress site. We’ll also give you some tips on what to do with your CSV file once you have it. Let’s get started!

How to Export Your WooCommerce Products

Exporting your WooCommerce products is a simple process. First, you need to log into your WordPress site and go to the WooCommerce section.

From there, select Products and then Export.

You’ll see a number of options for exporting your products. For most users, the default CSV export format will be fine. However, if you need to customize your export, you can select the Advanced CSV option.

Once you’ve selected the export format that you want, click the “Export” button.

Your browser will start downloading the CSV file. Depending on how many products you have, this file may be quite large.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to export stocks from WooCommerce, please be aware that there is no built-in functionality to do this. You will need to use a third-party plugin or custom code to export your stock data. Please backup your database before proceeding.

What to Do With Your Exported WooCommerce Products CSV File

Once you have your CSV file, there are a few things that you can do with it. If you’re moving to a new ecommerce platform, most platforms will have an import tool that allows you to upload your CSV file.

This will save you from having to enter all of your product data manually.

Most ecommerce platforms have an import tool that allows users to upload their very own CSV files – which would save anyone from having to enter all of their product data manually (which could take forever).  So if someone was wanting/needing to move their store from one platform they were using – onto another ecommerce platform – using a pre-existing CSV file would make this transition much smoother.

Another thing that could be done with a CSV document (that contains all of someone’s stocks/products) is that this type of file can be opened with Microsoft Excel – or any type of spreadsheet program.  This would give anyone access so they could edit their product information en mass rather than editing each product one at a time (which again would take forever).
