How Do I Find a Block ID in Squarespace?

Last updated on December 27, 2022 @ 5:59 pm

When you want to find a block ID in Squarespace, there are a few different ways that you can do this. One way is to go into the Block Manager, which is found in the left sidebar of the Editor.

Once you’re in the Block Manager, you can hover over any block and its ID will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen. Another way to find a block’s ID is to go into the code editor and look for the “id” attribute on the HTML element that represents the block. The value of the “id” attribute will be the block’s ID.

If you want to style text in HTML using tags, there are a few different tags that you can use. The <p> tag is used for paragraphs, the <b> tag is used for bold text, and the <u> tag is used for underlined text.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for a block ID in Squarespace, be aware that this may be considered a security risk. BlockIDs are used to identify individual blocks of content, and if someone were to find your block ID, they could potentially access or change your content.
