How Do I Fix My Brush in Photoshop?

If you’re having trouble with your brush in Photoshop, there are a few things you can do to try and fix it. First, make sure that the brush is selected in the toolbox. If it’s not, click on the brush tool and then select the brush you want to use from the drop-down menu. Next, check the settings in the options bar.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Every Photoshop user’s experience and needs are different, so please use the resources available to you (such as the Photoshop User Guide, online forums, etc.) to troubleshoot your specific issue.

The most likely problem is that the “mode” is set to “normal” instead of “paintbrush.” If that’s the case, just click on the mode drop-down menu and select “paintbrush.” Finally, make sure that you have a paintbrush selected in the brushes palette. If you don’t, click on the “add brushes” button and select a brush from the list.

If none of these things work, then it’s likely that there’s something wrong with your Photoshop installation. Try reinstalling Photoshop and see if that fixes the problem.
