As a business owner, you are required to generate a GST invoice for every sale made through your WooCommerce store. This invoice is necessary to claim GST credits from the government. In this article, we will show you how to easily generate a GST invoice in WooCommerce.
WooCommerce does not automatically generate GST invoices for you. However, it’s easy to create one using a plugin like WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips. Once installed and activated, simply go to WooCommerce > PDF Invoices to configure the plugin.
On the plugin’s settings page, you will need to select your Country and Currency. After that, you can choose which type of document you want to generate – Invoice, Packing Slip, or both.
You can also enter your company details such as name, address, phone number, and website URL. These details will be added to the generated document.
Once you’ve configured the plugin settings, go to WooCommerce > Orders. Here you will see all the orders placed on your WooCommerce store. Select the order for which you want to generate a GST invoice.
On the order page, scroll down to the “Invoice” section and click on the “Generate PDF” button. This will instantly generate a PDF document of the GST invoice which you can then download or print.
That’s all! You have successfully generated a GST invoice in WooCommerce.
