How Do I Get Better Quality in Canva?

As a graphic designer, I am often asked how to get better quality images in Canva. The answer is actually quite simple – use high quality images!

When you are creating your design in Canva, you will be able to choose from a library of pre-loaded images, or you can upload your own. If you want to ensure that your design looks its best, then you should use high quality images that are at least 300 DPI (dots per inch).

PRO TIP: If you are not happy with the quality of your Canva design, there are a few things you can do to improve it.

1. Use high-resolution images: When adding images to your design, make sure to use high-resolution files. This will help to ensure that your design looks sharp and clear, even when it is printed.

2. Export as a high-quality file: When you are ready to save or share your design, be sure to export it as a high-quality PDF or JPG file. This will help to prevent any loss of quality when the file is shared or printed.

3. Print at a high resolution: If you are printing your design, be sure to select a high resolution setting. This will ensure that your design looks its best when printed.

You can find high quality images online by doing a search for “free stock photos”. There are many websites that offer free stock photos that you can use in your designs. Just be sure to read the terms and conditions of each website before using any of their images.

If you’re not sure how to change the DPI of an image, don’t worry – Canva will do it for you! Simply click on the “Advanced Settings” tab when uploading an image and select the “300 DPI” option. This will ensure that your image looks its best when printed or shared online.

To summarise, in order to get better quality images in Canva, you should:

  • Use high quality images that are at least 300 DPI
  • Upload your own images or choose from Canva’s library of pre-loaded images
  • Change the DPI of an image by clicking on the “Advanced Settings” tab and selecting the “300 DPI” option
