There are two ways to get Google Fonts on Figma. The first is to use the Google Fonts plugin, and the second is to use the CSS @import rule.
The Google Fonts plugin is the easiest way to get Google Fonts on Figma. Once you’ve installed the plugin, you can select any Google Font from a drop-down list and apply it to your text.
The CSS @import rule is a bit more complicated, but it has the advantage of being able to use any font that’s available on Google Fonts, not just the ones that are included in the plugin. To use this method, you’ll need to add a few lines of code to your project’s CSS file.
First, find the URL for the Google Font you want to use. You can do this by going to the Google Fonts website and clicking on the font you want. On the font page, click the “Use” tab and then copy the URL under “Import”.
Next, open your project’s CSS file and add this code:
@import url(‘https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto’);
Replace “https://fonts.com/css?family=Roboto” with the URL you copied from Google Fonts. Save your CSS file and refresh your Figma preview. You should now see your text using the new font!
There are a few things to keep in mind when using Google Fonts on Figma. First, each font will only work if it’s available on both Windows and Mac computers.
Second, some fonts may not work well at smaller sizes, so you may need to adjust your design accordingly. Finally, remember that not all browsers support all fonts, so be sure to test your design in multiple browsers before sharing it with others.
Getting Google Fonts on Figma is easy with either the plugin or the CSS @import rule. With a little bit of effort, you can add any Google Font to your Figma project and make your designs look even better!
