How do I get my layers back in Photoshop?

When you have multiple layers in Photoshop, it can be hard to tell which one you are editing. To help you figure out which layer you are working on, Photoshop offers a number of different tools.

To see which layer is active, you can use the “Layer” menu option. The active layer is the one with a green arrow pointing to it.

PRO TIP: If you have accidentally deleted a layer in Photoshop, you can use the Undo command (Ctrl+Z) to bring it back. However, if you have already saved your file, you will need to use the History panel to revert to a previous state.

To change the layer’s opacity, you can use the “Layer” menu option and select “Opacity.” The opacity of the active layer is displayed in the “Opacity” field of the “Layer” dialog box.

To move the active layer, you can use the “Move” command. The Move dialog box displays the location of the active layer on the screen.

To copy the active layer, you can use the “Copy” command. The Copy dialog box displays the location of the active layer on the screen and the name of the new layer.
