How Do I Get Notifications on Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:59 pm

If you’re a Figma user, you may be wondering how to get notifications when someone comments on one of your designs. Luckily, it’s easy to set up!

First, open the project that you want to receive notifications for. Then, click on the Share button in the top-right corner. A pop-up will appear with various sharing options.

Next to the Add people field, there is a checkbox that says Receive notifications . Make sure that this box is checked.

Now, whenever someone comments on this design, you will receive a notification via email or the Figma desktop app (depending on your preferences).

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, you may end up getting notifications for every single change made to your Figma file – even if it’s just a small change like someone moving a layer. To avoid this, make sure to go into your File Settings (found in the top-right corner of your screen) and disable the “Enable Change Notifications” option.

To sum up, getting notifications in Figma is easy! Just open the project that you want to receive notifications for, click on the Share button, and make sure the Receive notifications checkbox is checked.
