How Do I Get Out of Fullscreen Mode in Photoshop?

Last updated on January 4, 2023 @ 11:36 am

We all know how frustrating it can be to be working on a project in Photoshop, only to accidentally click on something and find ourselves stuck in full screen mode. It’s even more annoying when we can’t figure out how to get out! Here’s a quick and easy guide on how to escape full screen mode in Photoshop:

First, try pressing the “Esc” key on your keyboard. If that doesn’t work, press the “F” key on your keyboard. This should toggle the full screen mode off and return you to your normal workspace.

If the menu bar is present in the fullscreen mode, go to View > Screen Mode > Standard Screen Mode to return to your normal screen.

PRO TIP: If you are using Photoshop and you want to get out of full screen mode, be sure to first save your work. Then, press the “Esc” or “F” keys on your keyboard. However, if you want to go back to full screen mode, go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and click on “View.” Next, click on “Screen Mode” and then select “Full Screen Mode.”

If neither of those options works, you can try going into the Window menu at the top of the screen and selecting Workspace. From there, you should be able to select your desired workspace and exit fullscreen mode.

We hope this quick tip was helpful to you! If you’re still having trouble exiting fullscreen mode in Photoshop, feel free to reach out to us for more help.
