Assuming you have a WooCommerce store set up (if not, check out this guide), there are two ways to add products: manually or through a CSV file. We’ll go over both methods below.
Method 1: Manually Adding Products
To add products one by one (or in small batches), you can use the “Add New Product” screen in your WordPress dashboard. First, go to WooCommerce > Products. Then, click the Add New button at the top of the page.
On the next screen, you will need to enter your product’s name, description, and other details. Be sure to scroll down and fill out all the sections under “Product Data”. These include things like pricing, shipping, inventory, and more:
The first way to get products from WooCommerce is to use the built-in product importer. This importer will allow you to import products from a CSV file. The advantage of this method is that it’s quick and easy to set up. The disadvantage is that it can be difficult to keep your product data up-to-date if you have a lot of products in your store.
The second way to get products from WooCommerce is to use the WordPress REST API. This method requires a bit more work to set up, but it has the advantage of being able to keep your product data up-to-date automatically. The disadvantage of this method is that it can be a bit slower than the built-in product importer.
The third way to get products from WooCommerce is to use the WooCommerce Product Feeds plugin. This plugin will allow you to create a feed of your products and then submit that feed to various search engines and marketplaces. The advantage of this method is that it’s quick and
Once you add all the required information, simply click on the Publish. Your product will now be live on your WooCommerce store.
Method 2: Importing Products Using a CSV File
If you need to add a large number of products to your WooCommerce store at once (in bulk), then importing products using a CSV file is the best method. WordPress already has built-in functionality for importing posts and pages from a CSV file.
Step 1: Prepare Your CSV File. Before you can import anything, you need to have your data in a CSV (comma separated values) file.. If you don’t have one handy, then you can use a program like Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc to create one.
Once you have your CSV file ready, open it in a text editor (like Notepad++) and take a look at the data inside. Each row in your CSV file will represent one product on your WooCommerce store. If everything looks good, then save your changes and close the file.
Now that your CSV file is ready, it’s time to import it into WooCommerce.
Step 2: Import Your Products into WooCommerce:
Go to WooCommerce > Products, and then click on the Import button at the top of the page.
Next, select Choose File and then locate the CSV file on your computer that you wish to upload.
After selecting the file, click on Continue.
On the next screen, select Run Importer.
WordPress will now start importing products from your CSV file into WooCommerce.
Depending on how many products are in your CSV file and your server settings, this may take some time.
If everything goes well then you should see a success message like this:
Congratulations! All done.
