How Do I Get Rid of Login on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:43 am

If you’re using Wix for your website, you may be wondering how to get rid of the login page. While it’s not possible to completely remove the login page, there are a few ways that you can make it less visible. Here are a few tips:

1. Use a custom URL

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

If you have a custom domain name for your website, you can use a URL redirect to send visitors to your homepage instead of the login page. To do this, simply add your domain name to the “Redirect URL” field in the “Advanced Settings” section of your Wix account. Once you’ve saved your changes, anyone who visits your login page will be automatically redirected to your homepage.

2. Use an HTML redirect

If you don’t have a custom domain name, you can still use an HTML redirect to send visitors to your homepage instead of the login page. To do this, simply add the following code to the section of your website’s index.html file:

3. Hide the login page from search engines

If you don’t want people to find your login page through search engines, you can add a “noindex” tag to the section of your website’s index.html file. This will tell search engines not to index the page, which means it won’t show up in search results.

PRO TIP: If you are considering removing the login feature from your Wix website, be aware that this could have negative consequences. Doing so would make your site less secure and could make it more difficult for people to access your content. It is therefore important to weigh the pros and cons of this decision carefully before proceeding.

4. Use a password-protected page

If you have a password-protected page on your website, you can use that as your login page instead of the default Wix login page. To do this, simply go to the “Password Protection” tab in the “Advanced Settings” section of your Wix account and enter the URL of the password-protected page.

5. Use an external link

If you’re using an external link as your login page (for example, if you’re using Facebook Login), you can hide the link from visitors by adding a “nofollow” tag to it. This will tell search engines not to follow the link, which means it won’t show up in search results.http://www.com/
