If you’re like me, you’ve probably accumulated a few too many Figma files over the years. And, like me, you probably have a hard time letting go of them.
Even though you know they’re just taking up space on your computer, you can’t help but feel attached to them. After all, they represent hours of work that you put in and they hold a lot of sentimental value.
But what do you do when you need to get rid of shadow Figma?
The first thing you need to do is come to terms with the fact that you need to let go. This can be hard, but it’s important to remember that holding onto something doesn’t make it valuable. If it’s taking up space on your computer and causing you stress, it’s time to let it go.
Once you’ve made the decision to get rid of your shadow Figma, the next step is to figure out how to do it. There are a few different options:
1) You can delete the files directly from your computer. This is the quickest and easiest way to get rid of them, but it also means that you won’t be able to access them ever again. If you’re sure that you’re never going to want to look at them again, this is the best option.
2) You can archive the files so that they’re not taking up space on your computer but you can still access them if you need to. This is a good option if there’s a chance you might want to look at the files again in the future but you’re not sure. To archive files, simply compress them into a ZIP file or another type of archive.
3) You can upload the files to a cloud storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive. This way, they’ll be stored off of your computer and you’ll be able to access them from anywhere. This is a good option if you think there’s a chance you might want to use the shadow Figma again in the future but you’re not sure when or where that will be.
4) You can sell or donate the files to someone who will appreciate them more than you do. If you’re done with the files and someone else could use them, this is a great option! You can sell them on sites like eBay or Craigslist, or donate them to an organization like Freegle or Freecycle.
Once you’ve decided how to get rid of your shadow Figma, take action! The sooner you let go, the sooner you’ll feel better.
And who knows? Maybe getting rid of some old files will make room for new ones that are even better!
