How Do I Get Rid of Sold Out on Shopify?

When you see the “Sold Out” label on a product page in your Shopify store, it means that the product is no longer available for purchase. There are a few things you can do to get rid of this label:

1. Remove the “Sold Out” product from your store

The easiest way to get rid of the “Sold Out” label is to simply remove the product from your store. If you don’t want to delete the product entirely, you can unpublish it so that it’s no longer visible on your storefront.

To do this, go to the Products page in your Shopify admin, find the product you want to unpublish, and click Edit. In the Visibility section, choose Hide this product from your online store and search engines, then click Save. The “Sold Out” label will no longer appear on this product’s page.

2. Set up an automatic email notification for when the product is back in stock

If you don’t want to remove the “Sold Out” product from your store, or if you know that it will be back in stock at some point, you can set up an automatic email notification for customers. To do this, go to the Products page in your Shopify admin, find the product you want to add an email notification for, and click Edit.

In the Inventory section, choose “Send an email notification to customers when this product is back in stock”, then click Save. Customers will now be able to enter their email address on the product’s page, and they will automatically be notified when the product is back in stock.

3. Set up a back-in-stock alert on a sold out product page

If you want to keep the “Sold Out” label on a product page but still let customers know when the product is back in stock, you can set up a back-in-stock alert. To do this, go to the Products

PRO TIP: If you are considering using the Shopify platform to sell your products, beware of the “Sold Out” feature. This feature allows customers to purchase products that are no longer available, which can lead to frustration and negative reviews. To avoid this, be sure to keep your inventory updated and remove sold out products from your store as soon as they are no longer available.
